Our company was founded in August 1978 by James and Sandra Carpenter under the name SafeGuard Fire Equipment, located in Sylacauga, Alabama. During this time, the main operation was sales and service of portable fire extinguishers.
Our History
In 2008, James and Sandra sold the company to their four children: Jamie Carpenter, Angie Carpenter Hughes, Matt Carpenter, and Sheila Carpenter Hatchett. During the sell process, the four children began construction of a new facility with the intention of expanding the company. The new facility was completed in 2009, and the company name changed to SafeGuard Corporation to include added divisions.
SafeGuard proudly offers the following products and services: Portable Fire Extinguishers, Hydrostatic Testing, Sprinkler Systems, Fire Suppression Systems, Alarm Systems, and First Aid & Safety.
From our company’s beginning, the goal has always been to provide the highest quality products and services to our customers at a fair price. Our company has been blessed to work with many individuals and companies over the years and we have built many friendships along the way.
